Oktoberfest 2026 Beer Prices: What Every Tent Charges

The 2026 prices are set. For most of the year we were all working from projections, but the tent operators have now confirmed what a Masskrug will cost when the Wiesn opens on September 19.

Here's the short version: most tents charge €15.80. The full spread runs from €14.80 to €17.80, and the average across all 40 tents comes out at €15.70.

Below is every tent, grouped the way the festival groups them.

The Big Tents

These are the fourteen large tents, the ones with the brass bands and the reservation waiting lists. Their prices are published individually, so these are firm numbers.

Two of these deserve a note.

Augustiner-Festhalle is the cheapest big tent again, as it is nearly every year. At €14.90 it undercuts the field by ninety cents, which over four Masskrugs is most of a fifth beer. Augustiner also still serves from wooden barrels rather than steel tanks, which a lot of locals will tell you (at length) makes a difference.

Kufflers Weinzelt is the outlier at €17.80, and it's a slightly unfair comparison. The Weinzelt is the wine tent: its main business is Franconian wine and sparkling wine, and the beer it pours is a premium Weissbier rather than the standard festival lager. If you want a normal Mass at a normal price, this is not the tent.

The Oide Wiesn

The Oide Wiesn is the historical section at the south end of the grounds, with the old-fashioned rides, the traditional music, and a calmer crowd. It charges a small entry fee of around €4, and in exchange the beer is cheaper than almost anywhere else on the Theresienwiese.

The Museumszelt at €14.80 is the cheapest beer at Oktoberfest 2026. Even after the €4 entry fee, if you're planning more than four beers the Oide Wiesn works out cheaper than the main grounds. It's also, for what it's worth, a much nicer place to have a conversation.

The Small Tents

There are twenty-two small tents: the chicken roasters, the cheese and wine stubn, the coffee and Kaiserschmarrn places. They tend to be quieter, easier to get into without a reservation, and better for actually eating.

Prices here are less uniformly reported. These six have their own confirmed figures:

The remaining small tents are listed at the €15.80 standard. Munich doesn't publish a separate figure for every one of them, so treat that as the default rather than a confirmed quote from each operator.

One genuinely new arrival this year: Bartls Flößerstadl, a 398-seat tent that takes over the spot previously held by Münchner Stubn. Its €15.70 comes from a single source, so it's the number we'd trust least on this page.

What This Actually Costs You

Three or four Masskrugs is a normal afternoon for most people. At the €15.80 that most tents charge:

Tipping is expected. The servers are carrying ten full Masskrugs at a time through a crowd, and rounding up to the next euro or adding ten percent is standard.

Two practical notes on cost:

• Radler counts. A Radler is half beer, half lemonade, and it costs the same as a Mass. If you're pacing yourself it's the better value per hour, even though it's the same price per litre.
• Where you sit matters more than which tent. The price gap between the cheapest and dearest normal tent is about a euro. The gap between a tent afternoon and a tent afternoon plus food, rides, and a taxi home is fifty. Beer is rarely what breaks the budget.
